Re:

WYLD(AM), New Orleans, Louisiana
Facility Identification Number: 60707
Clear Channel Broadcasting Licenses, Inc.
(CCBL)
Special Temporary Authority (STA)
BESTA- 20141 121ACM

Dear Mr. Langham:
This is in reference to the request filed on November 21, 2014. CCBL requests further
extension of the STA originally granted on October 14, 2005, and modified on March 9, 2012, to
operate Station WYLD with emergency antenna facilities pursuant to Section 73.1680 of the
Commission's rules due to hurricane damage.' In support of the request, CCBL requests
additional time pending further action on the recently filed license application.
Requests for extension of STA will be granted only where the licensee can show that one
or more of the following criteria have been met:
• Restoration of licensed facilities is complete and testing is underway;
Substantial progress has been made during the most recent STA period toward restoration
of licensed operation; or
No progress has been made during the most recent STA period for reasons clearly
beyond the licensee's control, and the licensee has taken all possible steps to
expeditiously resolve the problem.
Accordingly, the request for extension of STA IS HEREBY GRANTED. Station WYLD
1 WYLD is licensed for DA operation on 940 kHz with 10 kW day and 0.5 kW night.

may continue to operate with parameters at variance and/or reduced power while maintaining
monitor points within licensed limits. Following completion of necessary measurements and
adjustments, Station WYLD may operate with its substantially adjusted daytime and nighttime
directional patterns. During this mode of operation, operating parameters shall be maintained
within ±3° phase indications and ±5% current ratios from the MOM-derived operating
parameters, which shall be posted with the station license along with a copy of this letter. It will
be necessary to further reduce power or cease operation if complaints of interference are
received. CCBL must use whatever means are necessary to protect workers and the public from
exposure to radio frequency radiation in excess of the Commission's exposure guidelines. See 47
CFR § 1.1310. We anticipate that final action will be taken on BMML20141 121ACM before the expiration date shown below.
This authority expires on April 16, 2015.

Sincerely,

Joseph Szczesny, Engineer
